For well over three decades vocalist/guitarist, J.P. Smoketrain, has kept the blues alive in Hawaii. JP, with his band, opened the late great blues legend, B.B. King’s concert at the Blaisdell Arena in November, 2002. As a soloist, duet, and band leader JP has opened many of the islands well-known restaurants, bars and nightclubs.
On Friday, September 20th, J.P. Smoketrain will bring his Uptown Rhythm and Down Home Blues Revue to Medici's, featuring: J.P. Smoketrain - Vocals and Guitar, Robbie “Tonekang” Outt - Lead Guitar, Ed “Mundo” Canto - Bass, Ron Gaines - Drums, Mitch Fukumoto - Keyboards, and Jason Gay - Saxophone. Special guests opening the show will be The Fabulous Blues Cats, featuring: Butch Bland (Guitar) Dave Carbacio (Vocals, Lap Steel & Harmonica) Rusty Rasmussen (Drums)
